Over the years we here at Mykinda have been blessed with some very special dogs.
On this page we would like to pay tribute to the great dogs we have had the pleasure to share our lives with.

1975

SunD CD

The "Little Blue Dog" that started it all . This was the beginning of our love affair with the Australian Shepherd and the world of dog shows. SunD earned her CD and had several HITs to her credit.

1978

CH Talkooks Rikki Rooster

Taking WD at the big CASA show in Fort Collins

Talkooks Star in Motion of Mykinda

Her dam was bred by Becky DeLeon (Somercrest) and co owned with Jonna Cole (Talkook). I picked her up during the Summer Olympics when they were held in LA... that is where the name Star in Motion came from.

Talkooks High Interest of Mykinda

Mickey Mouse, named because both her ears were all black. The title of Ch. eluded Mickey she sat on the "dreaded" 14 points never managing to capture that one last single point.

This is another of Mickey and our three OLDEST kids. This was the funniest day. I took them all to Olin Mills Photography Studio and the photographer spent thirty minutes getting them all set up. She then stood back and told the kids to smile and say "Mickey Mouse", and she jumped off the table. The poor lady spent another thirty minutes getting them ready and I interupted and asked her to say Donald Duck or the dog would "come" again. We all laughed.

Ch. Van B's Flamin Mame of Tupelo

Molly was one of our daughter Kristens first junior handling bitches that she finished herself. Kristen won her first BJH with Molly

AKC/ASCA CH Propwash Patriot AKC/ASCA CDX

What a special guy he was. We bought him as a handling dog for Kristen after Molly died and he finished his CH easily. His CD was already started but he needed another leg and that came real easy too. The CDX was another thing. His AKC title came three in a row but the ASCA CDX taught me the meaning of the heart break class! He finally finished it but I don't even remember where! This dog was BISS and an AOM at the ASCA National Specialty 1994. He also earned a few HIT along the way.

Mykinda Not an Aussie CD

Last but not Least.... this was a dog that was really part of our family. Rick always wanted a Rott but I was always nervous about having one to mix with the real dogs. Pee Wee had many HIT in both AKC and then ASCA opened the obedience program to other breeds. He was also and ASCA HIT dog. We finished him in Lehi in BURRRRR freezing weather in an old barn. There was a run off for HIT and we were excited to finish him out with another HIT! He qualified easily for the Gaines with all his scores 196 and higher.

Mykinda High N Mity

Snickers was my pick puppy from our Rambo - Cricket litter. She proved to continue as a pick her entire life. Her ASCA conformation title eluded her by one point before retiring and she was the first bitch to earn AKC major points in Nevada. Snickers began her Chore Dog Excellent at a very early age by helping pen escaped show hogs and continued that talent with sheep, cattle and kids her entire life. While Snickers was on duty, there was never a worry about a stranger getting to close, or something disappearing from the trailer while at a rodeo or livestock show.

Mykinda Anniversary Present

As a puppy, Annie was sold (chosen as an Anniversary Present) and after going to her second home, I told my husband, Rick, that she was going to another owner. Rick told me to go BUY her back no matter the cost, that under no un certain terms was she to live another day away from us. That happened in 1991. Annie stayed with us and became a wonderful Juniors dog and earned both of her CD’s with very high scores. Annie felt her job in life was to help the ewes clean their baby lambs in the spring. We were so blessed to have Annie return into our lives. Annie went to the bridge in the summer of 2005. I am sure the ewes will miss her as we do come spring.
