All the steel construction finished.

(The steel stringers and cross braces
are assembled using pop rivets).




The top deck ties installed.

(The wood ties are 1 3/4"
high, 3/4" wide & 20" long. 
They have been soaked in
used motor oil).




Track being placed on the bridge.

(The bridge is 40 feet long and
about a 60 foot radius.  This view
is south).

 


The top deck with rails installed.

(The center guard rails are made
of wood.  The safety islands are
removable for running as you can
hit them with your feet.  Don't
ask me how I know this).


 


First run over the new bridge.

(John tests out the new bridge
with the F7 and his easy chair in
 his gondola riding car).

(This is the operators view of the
bridge.  The red barrels are those
mini Pepsi soda cans).
