This is the North Muddy Mountains 
looking West toward Interstate 15. 

(The highway lays in the valley beyond the 
gap in the mountains in front of you, about 
8 miles away.  The ridge behind you over-
looks the Moapa Valley).

 

 
 
Here's the desert at it's best. This is 
known as the 7 year bloom when all 
the flowers come out. 

(The picture was taken near Gold Butte)

This is a picture of the Virgin 
Mountains covered in snow 
taken from my backyard. 

(The view is East and what looks
like a wall in the foreground is the 
Mormon Mesa).

 
 
Here's some green cactus 
blooming in my yard.

(It's one of several green 
cactus plants in my yard).

 
Here's view the Reid Gardner 
Power Plant in Moapa Valley 
along Interstate Highway 15. 

(It was taken on a cold winter day 
from a moving car).

 
Here's a picture of the Royal 
Cement Plant along highway 169.

(It is currently being dismantled and 
had ceased operations when the 
picture was taken).
