Inside the Museum

Original Wing (1935 Anasazi Wing)

The main entrance is into the original museum building now known as the 1935 Anasazi Wing. Artifacts from the Anasazis are found in this collection.

1973 Wing

In this wing you will find early man, archaic, Paiute, historical, and geological exhibits.

1981 Wing (Faye Perkins Wing)

Here we find an archeological site, temporary exhibits, and the gift shop. The archeological site is "An actual Pueblo foundation that was excavated by the Civilian Conservation Corps around 1935. Part of the features have been reconstructed in order to depict the sequence of an archeological excavation and to relate the work an archeologist does to the actual human behavior that created the site originally." (quoted from the signposts around the "dig".)
